What do you do at Honey Creek?
I serve as pastor at Honey Creek. My focus is on the vision, leadership and direction of HCC as well as preaching, teaching, counseling, finance, and hospital visits. I also serve as the chairman of the board and represent the church in all denominational meetings.
Tell us about your family:
My wife and I met while I was in college at North Central University in Minneapolis. We were married in 1987. We have three sons, a daughter in love and a soon to be daughter in love, all living in Minneapolis. We have pastored in Northern Michigan, Minnesota and in Wisconsin. We came to Milwaukee to pastor this church in the fall of 2004 which was Calvary at the time.
What you like to do on your day off?
On my day off you will most likely find me spending the day with my wife. When the weather is warm enough my wife and I love to ride bike or go golfing.
What is a scripture verse that is meaningful to you?
“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 This verse has been a help to me through out my life when I’ve experienced difficulty, trials or grief, and this verse stands to remind me that in the midst of it all, God is there and by His grace I will get through whatever I am facing. Not only will I get through it, but He will do something amazing out of that hard time.
